A bit worried that WP seems to have made their statement about the Sarries / Biarritz match venue by flexing muscles .. Im not sure I understand how and why they would not want a venue like  CTS as its capacity is also larger ??

Sure the politics are quite mind-boggling, but I just feel that the opportunity has gone amiss here ... Not too sure what you guys think, but .. this is my view on the matter.

I think theres two reasons for this:
1st : Financial
WPRFU will lose Millions with the match being played at CT Stadium
2nd: Just my thought :
The rugby followers in CT will LOVE the experience of the match At the CT Stadium and would put more pressure on the WPRFU to stage Stormers matches there....
Saracens have in the meantime switched the match venue to London.

my 2 cents worth. you are prob correct when you say that WP will lose millions but i think that is partially true. There are suite holders who are the bread and butter as their income per year is gaurenteed and as going by what i am reading CT stadium only has 100 suites whereby Newlands has 300 so if the game is played there who do you please. In general councils meetings the clubs are adamant that the games should be played at newlands and not at CT stadium , i have exerienced that myself when i sat in meetings so we have to define the rugby followers - is it the clubs of WP who don't want to move or is it the people who watch rugby for pleasure ..i think it is a case you damned if you do and damned if you don't.
