Helderberg
Do you guys agree? Helderberg had a lot of potential for this year. Alot of the games they just could not close, few games lost by less than 7 points. What could be the problem?
Also hear they might loose a few players. Maybe some clubs will look at recruiting some of them Like the fullback (Coetzee I think), Wings (Labaschagne and Peters), Props (Truter and ...) and loosy (Williams)?
what do you think?

RE:Helderberg
Agreed and very true. As far as I can understand is finances played a big role re player fees. I think the little fountain ran out after the 1st round and certain players refused to play because of it. I also know they advertised the Head Coach job. I think there was a bit of a split amongst the players regarding the current coach. Anyway, I hope my club gets their act together and maybe get more sponsors involved and might be able to field a strong enough squad in 2011, or we will follow NNK's path of this year.
You can do it!!

RE:Helderberg
Ian has played at Berge the last 3 or more seasons. Players come and go every year like at most paying clubs. Too early to know. Let's chat again around March next season to know.

RE:Helderberg
I know Ashwill has played there 2 seasons, the other wing bout 4 or 5 seasons. the props only one or two. The captain has been there 3 or 4 now aswell. Gary Williams (flank) been there 11 seasons, maybe he should start looking at other clubs as he is good enough. Rumour has it that there are one or two board members that does not think so...

Why are you trying to get rid of them? Who do you support or play for?

RE:Helderberg
Helderberg are going to end like kraaie. There are too much politics in the club, the head coach was either fired or he quit, the players and the coaching staff don't always see eye to eye. Money is a problem. Many of the star players this season i believe won't stay on. Ashwil must surely go to a better club because Helderberg does not manage him right. Captain Courage aka De Wet neethling and Gary williams will be retiring in the end of the year. Chuck and Martin Truter would be unwise too stay on the sinking ship, as well as Christo Southy. (Though the Strand Locals may stay on, but can the team still perform without their leader whom i believe is the glue and spirit of the team?) Forwards coach Brand also don't want to stay on in the coaching staff, so i can't see Helderberg surviving next year.

RE:Helderberg
Dude, about surviving. Most people has predicted Berge to relegate over the last 4+ years. And guess what happened. There are sone issues, but then again, any club has their share of issues. You for one has obviously got something against my club, and I quote "Helderberg is a club with a losing culture". So rather first remove the cricket bat out of your own eye before you try and remove the splinter out of Berge's eyes. P.S. it seems you a SKW man, your club did not do too well either this season.

RE:Helderberg
I have nothing against Berge, my dad played their a few years ago. It's just sad to see a good team like that do so poor, and they did have a losing culture this year, though they could have won the half of their games. Agreed our club has not performed well this season, but we will rise out of the ashes! At least we won't lose half our team this year though.
