Caught the game this morning and what a victory for the Islanders 32 - 23 .. fully deserving their victory. I thought that the Samoan team played with lots of organisation and their skills out of contact was superb.

They rattled their opposition with a few Samoan sandwiches but also brought very good discipline as far as their defensive alignment is concerned. Seilala Mapusua was brilliant at 12 ... but the Samoans held the edge at the loose trio where all 3 were excellent.

Some of the Aussie fellas would no doubt know that this is not S15 rugby ... Ione was hammered in the tackle on more than one occassion and poor Davis must have wished he got an easier debut ... Giteau seems to be the shadow of his former self, I think the quicker Aussie gives him his pass, the better ... Macabe was an honest trier, but was outclassed by Mapusua.

The Samoan tights did lots of dirty work , and in the aspect I would feel they need to be consistent, should they continue in this vein, there is no reason why they cannot cause a few upsets at the RWC ...

One major thing that erked the crap out of me was Marius Jonkers' manner toward the Samoan cpt and players .. very dismissive and crude at times. I wonder why that is , well done to Samoa , you have showed how to deal with a ref that wont neccessarily look to you when it comes to 50/50 call time.

 Yes game was awesome, some players returning to bolster squad and getting right combinations in place and youngsters stepping up to the plate...massive result and i predict more to come seems its not how you start but how you end

 but its kwaai if you learn from your mistakes in 1st round (players as well as coaches) and rectify them in 2nd

Well done Samoa!!!! Well deserved victory! I reckon they gonna make the Boks think twice about team selection in WC.
