RE:SLA Results- 09 July 2011
as i said earlier last week a few key withdrawals and prepartions not going accordingly we were always up against it but we had our chances. if we were awarded the try with 10mins to go and converted it would have been 26 all but that is how it goes and well done to Hammies

Why was the try disallowed? From what I could see the refs decision overruled by the linesman.

great start to the 2nd round for hammies . .SKW so called "stars" were nowhere in this game. . . .the spectators were well behaved except for the one incedent where the touch judge called the ref to sort out a member from the crowd ,not sure what the reasons were .well done to hammies.

Ja, crowd got out of hand, I think they were abusing the linesman or something, but they eventually got it under control. Poor form by SKW spectators who booed loudly every time Hammies took a kick at posts.

Even after the game, one of the spectators (wearing a SKW jacket) was verbally attacking one or two of the players while they were huddled in a circle on the field.

roboprop SKW has never claimed they have stars but a bunch of committed individuals but perhaps because they have been playing well over the past few weeks so in your eyes they are stars - thanks for the compliment. It is quite suprising that when Dollie was kicking that you did not hear the boos from the other crowd who was supporting Hammies but it ok - we lost and will take the loss and just have to pick up from there. The game is history so for the season it a draw

Here we go again looking for fault with SKW, the linesman was chirped by some lady spectator LOL, you people are so petty looking at every little thing...i can say many things what the Hammies spectators did but cowboys don't cry... I say well done to Hammies you guys did your homework and your plan worked well, good luck

Just calling it like I saw it man - no embellishments, no exaggerations. All that stuff aside, it was a great day out on the park with some good rugby played by all three teams. And when you discount the negativity, the crowds even added a lekker atmosphere to the whole day. Long live club rugby!

This is the most pathetic statement made, I attended the S15 semi-final at Newlands and everytime Dan Cater kicked to poles he was booed, when the Crusaders came onto the field they were booed and it was not a problem to anybody, so why when the SK supporters boo a kicker it becomes a problem. Be realistic booing has always been part of sport and will always be. In all honesty this is what make Newlands such a devastating away venue to come and play at (all teams will agree to this).
