RE:Latest News From WPRFU: Mr H writes
What is the correct term to use with this Medical Insurance ?? If we refer to medical insurance then we look at medical aid , which this product is not. The product in question is more along the lines of an accidental death or injury benefit.
My concern is aimed at the inaccuracy in terms of terminology. What does the Union stand to gain with clubs signing up for these policies ?? What is the kick-back.
I know that there is IRB regulation is in place, but a medical aid proper would be much suited.

Maybe JP can pose this question to Mr. H tonight on his show.
It is definately an accidental death or permanent injury policy. There are clauses in place in the policy that state that you must have this dissability for a certain length of time before they will consider paying out any money to individuals.

@ Josk K and Paddy
I posted something last week down the same lines stating that Mr. H's communication is "inaccurate".
Got a summary of the policy if anyone would like to see it.

From a financial perspective this could be construed as miselling or false advertising. This is then a breech as far as FAIS regulations are concerned.
