Langa Uprising
Good day everyone I just want to note that Langa is progresing on this 2nd round matches as they won all their matches and they caused an upset on St Goerges as they are chasing to win the league but they must fight on as you may never know come the end of the season

I think as Langa is rising above their chalenges it is great houner to say that 1 game at a time is the key vision as they know now what is at stake on PLA
I also would like to congradulate the players in the divisions who are being nominated to go on the disas team and the amature team especial the players from Langa all the best and it is Pity that there were no players from Lagunya on the team for the previous years reason being known by them
Hopeful that the Langa boys will make their mark to be known especially their Forwards play like a unit with the compliment of their backline.
Good Luck Attend you all

RE:Langa Uprising
I must agree with you buldog and as a player of Langa im so proud of the club and the effort put in by our management nd coaches to ensure that we performe to the best of our ability.

it was a sweet and warm win for us as much as it was very cold that side yho. you are so right we are taking it one game at a time.

as for the disa team you can bet we will have more than one player from us making that side....watch the space

RE:Langa Uprising
Think WP should invest more in this team.  Will be good for rugby to have them compete in the Super leagues.

Played with Martin (hope I got the name right) as my open-side flanker at the disas trails and he is a very busy customer.  Quick across the field and good aggression.

Good luck to you guys.

And what makes Langa different from any other clubs ???
Why should WP invest there and not anywhere else ... ??

Exactly, they were the 1st to receive lights and clubhouse, now its down to them to get their own sponsors and concentrate on rugby as EVERYONE  else.....no reason for any special handouts.

RE:Langa Uprising
Kappa point of correction Langa RFC doesnt have their own Club house at all unlike, Goodwood or Paarl, UCT or Hamiltons and some other club that have it dedicated to rugby alone. I for one know that Rangers share their Clubhouse with Ottomans cricket.

We share the grounds with cricket, hockey and soccer. As for the lights im sure all mutlipurpose grounds in the township e.g. Langa, Nyanga, Manneberg have been put there to accomodate winter sports such as rugby, soccer and hockey.

Guys Langa is managing with the resources we have and we are coming out tops. yes we would love to have more and all however things take time and sponsors dont always say yes to requests. Langa must not be seen as a Club that is poor or is in need of special favours from anyone. Im sure as we grow as a Club we will get certain things in order and make us competative to compete in a better league....watch the space Langa will be in the Super League in 2-3yrs to come.

RE:Langa Uprising
gud luck to the Langa boys, u r making the black rugby community very proud and may you continue growing from strength to strength.some guys do not realize how difficult the langa rugby community find themselves in, not just langa rugby club alone.Langa rugby club shares the field with Busy Bee rugby club and the Young Idea rugby club. Langa has 3 open teams and an under 21. Busy Bee have 3 open team , a ladies team and a under 21 team and lastly Young ideas have 3 open team. This means that approximately 11 teams occupy 2 playing grounds, at times this proves choatic and on top of that the is cricket club to deal with hockey and soccer.so the fields are overused. And in this regard i think wp needs to come in and help in this regard. The situation during off season is a dire one. This langa rugby teams are only able to use the fields only on march because of cricket, and other teams by that time are well into their preseason, and this always shows on the perfomance of this three teams during the early stages of the season.

RE:Langa Uprising

As a black player myself playing for MIT Rangers, I just wanna give a shout out to Langa..
But i think that there asre far more clubs out there that is even far off than Langa when it comes to field and all that sort of  facilities.
So i dont know why is it such a big issue....When clubs like Manenburg must practice on a play park thats now even even, And on top of that there is no lights sometimes, But yet they are leaders of there division...And they as well share there playing ground with a cricket team...

RE:Langa Uprising

Well, best of luck to you guys. Hopefully you do someday become a force in the Superleague. I,however, feel that the 3 clubs should consider a merger and join forces to form one potent Rugby Organisation. You would then be able to field 4 solid senior teams as well as 2 or 3 decent U/21 sides. I'm sure you would then be quite competitive should you play in the Super League someday.

Yip Ranger Jones, the advantages are endless. There would however be some hiccups ,lets not be naive, with clubs merging but the end result in most cases are favourable.

RE:Langa Uprising
Okay maverick , u have a point the. but one thing you need to know is that this three teams  (langa, busy bee and young ideas) have a long and proud history.Busy bee have been around since 1930 , so  is Young ideas (established in 1970). So you cant just dissolve such history without making certain people angry. It was tried before, but was never to be. and the were people who nearly died. And as to compare Langa and manneberg, its just not justice. manneberg are playing in the division league whilst langa is in the premier a. This should clearly count for something.
