SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
http://www.rugby365.com/opinion/phase2/2778924.htm
Why has this been kept so quiet? Double standards in WP again - what has been the outcome with Belhar after a ref was attacked and put in hospital by 3 of their guys when they played Villagers at Brookside? Why are these things being swept under the carpet?
There are only two types of rugby - Winning Rugby and Losing Rugby.

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
Is the Authour of this articel the same grant ball that coaches and sacs and reported on the primrose game.
Ther are huge undertones of sour grapes throughout that article. He sounds upset that it is not his side that was selected. Does he have any ties to Hamiltons by any chance....cos he is still moaning about that incident which i thought was resolved.
Corry and Cracker do u know this guy, statements are just so similar.

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
There is never any justification for violence of any kind. And as I read Grant Ball's article I cannot help but get a sense of bitterness and anger. In his article he continually mentions incidents, but keeps on mentioning the one incident at Hammies. Please don't get me wrong, one incident is one incident too many. But what is unfair is for Mr Ball to say that Kloof is being rewarded for violence.
In the time leading up to this "friendly" or since then have there been any other violent incidents involving the Kloof? There has been plenty of hard work that went onto getting the Kloof and keeping them where they are at the moment. Part of this was cleaning up there act. It seems that the perpretators were identified and punishment was dealt out, however long it took. What do we know why it took so long with gathering testimony and evidence.
The point is that this a very emotional and subjective article, written by somebody who feels that his club, it would seem Hammies, was hard done somehow. This is just my opinion.

I dont support SKW
I dont support Maties
However, i fully support WP Club Rugby. So I know from my couch I will be wishing both of our representatives well. Im pleased to hear that the SK incident was their only blip this year. If they play as well as they have shown at times this season, I dont see why we cant have a Maties vs SK final and wont that be a solid up you to the rest of SA if our fifth ranked club side (as at the weekend of 27 aug) makes into into the knockouts!!!
Long live loyalty

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
Krimz, we all wish SKW well but if they are to do well they have to get past reigning champions College Rovers in the first round. Rovers have not lost a match in over 2 years and their winning streak is 40 games. Their run has to come to an end sometime, but I think we need to keep perspective and remember that SKW will be up against by far the best club side in SA at present. So a big challenge and interesting to see how they respond...

A huge challenge for us i agree but what would life be without challenges - also College Rovers have won 50 out of 51 matches over the past 3 years..jirre daunting but nothing is impossible

Agreed Lofty. Challenges show what you are made of. Just a small correction - it's now 55 out of 56 matches over the past 3 years - even in Maties or Tukkies heyday I don't think they were that successful, does anyone know?

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
People must stop publishing one sided articles. The matter is between SK, Hammies and WP Rugby, which i am sure can be sorted out.
Why must SK be punished to not compete in club champs ?
From what i read, nowhere this year has SK been involved inany such matters, meaning they showed commitment to rectify matters.
Well done on your nomination SK and make us proud, i know you can.
Is boeta Solly still actively supporting SK ?

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
This matter was dealt woth long ago and the relevant people punished. It is just so ironic that that this surfaced just before the club champs teams were awarded 4 months later. When the journalist was contacted and asked where did he get his information from he said from his sources and was asked why did he not contact SKW he said he did not know how to get hold of SKW - how ironic is that - that article was a deliberate attempt to discredit SKW as we know there are 2 other clubs who also wanted to go - how ironic that the journalist who wrote that coached at one fo this clubs..but it ok that how people are

RE:SKW rewarded for Violence - Article on Rugby 365
as mentioned earlier im supporting SK to go to club champs....just to the newbie above ,SK are going as an "invitational or non white club even tho there are white players" team if i may say so...no offence to anyone!so they not going on merit if they were goin on merrit they would not be going as an invitational side ,they also not going as defending champions.so this has nothing to do with other clubs who also want to go!!!if it was on merit or next strongest team in the western cape then IKEYS wouldve gone .
