To be honest I was thinking of avoiding any threads not directly related to actual games and scores. I am sorry to say it, but there were some seriously immature comments and insults being thrown around. Unfortunately South African society is still very immature. We should be able to discuss issues, debate, inform each other and read peoples thoughts with open minds even if we dont agree. We cant.I avoid any newsites because the comments sections are even worse. A sad state of affairs. The brotherhood of rugby should unite us to some extent.

I don't know why it was removed. Josh K and I have verbally abused each other since the site started in 2004. Why delete this one?

I think its because Amir mentioned the name of a fast food outlet, when he should be focusing on abstaining from food.

Forget about it guys, we chat on. Admin's advice wasn't all bad.

I don't have a problem with the rules Mr Admin posted. I'm the one who get's abused when I post something rugby related that someone else does not agree with. That's why I stopped posting for a long time. No use spending time posting something useful because nobody appreciates it anyway - they always look for something controversial so that they can take you out while hiding behind a nickname.

Jean, I dont skuil behind anything sir, you are the one who made a very low class remark about people being happy because a farmer got killed ...

It was out of line and it was not in the spirit of anything good ...

And you were quick to condemn the tom-foolery related to the Malema comment? Guess not hey, once again a case of the Josh K being selective in his comments, praise and condemnation..........although there is a definite pattern as to which group from South Africa falls into the three categories: comment, praise and condemnation. Like a book old chap, like a book! Shock us once in while.........PLEASE!!!!

RE:What happened to the "shocking Behaviour" Thread
Yes Jakes, as you say. He is very selective in his condemnation of posts. I was taking the guy on on bringing Malema into the topic - as if Malema is a hero with his "Kill the boer" song. As we expected he took me on without a word on the other post.

Josh also doesnt realize that he has broken the rules of the site with his post towards me. The list is below.. pick whichever you like.
The following is not allowed:
·         Racism
·         Anti-religious statements
·         Slander
·         Defamation
·         Unfounded accusations
·         Swearing
Hate speech
Incitement to violence
·         Continued unfounded statements of negativity

RE:What happened to the "shocking Behaviour" Thread
Surely a sad day for this forum for bringing out a new set of guidelines to once again silence those forumers with real concerns around the state of affairs in WP Rugby on matters so dear to the heart of many clubs in WP Rugby. Although i do agreed in principle about the racist attacks and degrading of fellow forumers i strongly disagree on the stance about negative remarks.....

WP Rugby once again shows their state and level of ignorance by opting to silence voices by including this in the new set of guidelines.

Why did WP Rugby always kept silence on the following topics :

1) Club Rugby Voilence
2) Racism in Club Rugby and Rugby in WP
3) Under representation of coloured and black rugby players in WP Senior teams.

Is it such a sin to talk about why WP did not act switftly and constructively on these matters, no it is not and should not be. WP Rugby cannot at his point in time respnd constructively to these 3 points/challenges as their institutional and operational frameworks and structures are not set up to adress it accordingly.

WP further knows that the main source of feeding their senior teams lies with Maties, UCT, Hammies and the likes, so why worry about those 3 challenges of our main source of feeding is just fine......

Has it ever occured to WP Rugby that they do not operate in isolation, but is affiliated to a national body called SARU. Has it ever occured to them that their main source of feeding can be taken away from them in the likes of Matie Rugby by a recomendation to SARU by the portfolio comittee on sports on findings made by the department of sport and recreation that Matie rugby should be incorporated with Boland rugby in order to ensure an equal distribution of rugby talent and resources in the Western Cape as WP Rugby still has two Universities to their disposal in the likes of UCT and UWC if Universaties are going to remain main sources of feeding for regional rugby teams ? Watch this space.........

Why was UWC over the years been overlooked in this aspect but according to WP they are doing so much for transformation. Why is UWC to this day not a high performance centre for WP Rugby. It will adress to a great extend the challenge of under representation of coloureds in WP Rugby.

Why should they wait for goverment structures to once again do it for them, it will then be to late to look for loopholes, something they are good at.

Why is the coloured people in WP structures that are supposed to be representing the voice of the majority of clubs not doing it properly and effectively but rather look to unlock value for main sponsers and money feeders in WP Rugby ? So much for window dressing.

I have been raising my voice as part of the masses when freedom was a must have in this country, i will continue to do so untill i see it embedded and entrenched in all walks of life including WP Rugby and will not be silent or silenced by new guidelines for rugby forum.

Although i do realise that my posting will mean that my membership will be terminated as a result of the new guidelines, which i respect and will not blame Mr Admin if he exercise his rights and obligations.

WP Rugby is looking down the barrel of a gun and will soon be shooting in the dark and farting against thunder as a result of constantly avoiding the challenges i have raised and failing to transform in such a way as to adress the real issues facing rugby in WP.

My posting and my membership maybe deleted, but for those that will have a chance of reading it, remember Naunu when these issues and happenings will hit the news headlines, the papers and unlock huge debate, i will then live forever in your memories.

As this posting my be upsetting to some yet encouraging to some, thanks for the time i was able to conversate with all of you in a meaningful manner i am sure our paths will cross in another way.

To the ignorant at WP Rugby : Then there was this rule so just and cruel : "It was time to change or otherwise pay more to remain the same...."

A luta Continua! To stay quiet on this issue is to condone what is happening in the the Republic of Western Cape.Unfortunately,as Naunu so rightly put, these type of behaviour(stucking head in sand)can no longer continue.IF,and IF there are things happening at WP to eradicate and address these issues as Naunu has described so aptly, than please, for the love of rugby, address it.If the policies are in place, then act on it!If you need volunteers to help, than ask!Im sure a lot of guys here got the ability and the perseverance to assists getting the messages across! Its no shame to follow other province's example(Blue Bulls nogals);after all we all part of the Republic of South Africa!!1

RE:What happened to the "shocking Behaviour" Thread
I like your comments Naunu, in particular the one about UWC-what a great idea. If the union has money for development that would be a good place to start. UCT does not get money from the union from my knowledge but rely on old boys and sponsors, much like most clubs. I dont think critisising/debating etc. is the problem (from what I understand), it is more about the personal remarks/insults, which can also detract from the debate. Why cant we debate/discuss without the insults? We may agree to disagree, we may learn more about the subject and the personalities from each other. It is important to also have an open mind when reading other peoples comments and maybe trying to understand their perspective. "A closed mind is like a closed book" .
