SLB GETTING INTERESTING
With Bellville winning NNK on Saturday; the SLB title race is now wide open. With 3 teams that can still win the title (although Bellville's chances are slim) this is really going to be a interesting couple of weeks before the end of the season. WP rugby union cant complain about rugby at club level. Must say i would rather watch a club game then a Currie Cup game at the moment (just depends on who is playing in the Currie Cup) as it seems that the club games are more interesting then most of the Currie Cup games.

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Excellent game at Floridapark on saturday.H&H withstood the early onslaught of Tygerberg, but at the end it was the vast experience of Tiere that made the difference. This team might just take the league, but will they be able to stay in SLA once the get there?3rds and 2nds of Tiere not ready to make step up yet,and with a lot of 1st team players in the twilight of their careers, this should be a cause of concern.Having said that,im not privy to Tiere's long term planning, and im sure they will have already addressed this issue. Well done Tiere!

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Well done Bellville!
The boys in green really planned for this game as they knew where we were vulnerable and they exploited it, kudos to them!
This puts a huge spanner in the works, Bellville mathematically have a chance, but realisticaly they dont. Unfortunately now NNK's future relies on results elsewhere. Tiere need to slip up and loose points somewhere over the last 3 matchdays for NNK to make it. With a far superior points difference as well, looks like tygers are holding the aces again... amazing how things change in the space of 7 days in SLB.
Well if we dont get promoted (which i hope we still do) then our consolation prize will be taking on chucky and porky at goorrooot next year, now there is a long awaited derby that i wont mind playing at all!
Long live loyalty

Are Tygerberg and Pniel going to play the last game after all the other games have been played? Is this game still going to take place?

Tygers on top with 2 points ahead of NNK with 16 games each. Looks like the Goodwood vs NNK derby could still be on the cards for next year...

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Tygers still have to play Collegians on Saturday and then Pniel on Tuesday evening. If they can manage to win both games then they deserve to win the leaugue. It just shows how tough SLB is this year and how vital bonus points are during the entire season.

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
If we have to look at this years SLB objectively, I would have to say, not one of the Top 3 teams are good enough for SLA. I have said it before and I will say it again. In order to be able to survive in SLA you need to win SLB by atleast 20 points from your closest competitor. Belhar won SLB comfortably before they went up, and as you can see, they still struggled in SLA. Yes, they were not relagated, but they definitly werent challangers to the title and they definitly didnt have it all their own way... appart from a scare or two

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Its all about having the right structures in place, yes Belhar won SLB last year, but how did the 2nd,3rd and under 20's perform? There was no natural feeder system in place, hence the struggling this year.If you want to go up,you have to ensure that you have all these structures in place.Add to that conditioning, mental toughness and physical fitness and you should be A for Away. From your under 20's and upwards should be familiar with 1st team structures, and should be able to fill in should someone gets injured or suspended. This should come naturally and there should be no need to learn new calls. My 5cents worth.

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Don't be fooled about not having the structures. Its all about the money and sponsorships at the end of the day. Don't say Belhar this and Belhar that. Go look where they come from and there circumstances. Our players don't get money they play for the love of the game (Pniel). Not even our 1st team gets money. Teams like NNK can afford to pay there players. Which means yes there 2nd and 3rd teams will be much stronger. Go do a survey you will shocked how many of that players comes from outside there surroundings Its not an excuse but its reality. Its not easy for clubs like us to survive. All I'm saying I don't ask for sympathy just don't say teams don't deserve to be where they strive to be even if it means relegation the next year. Have respect for there pride.....

RE:SLB GETTING INTERESTING
Im sorry i didnt make myself clear when i said structures should be in place. Structures to me means having the money to sustain and develop your teams;how else are you going to hang onto your players.Pride is good, and i encourage that, but it flies out of the window quick when a cheque book rocks up.Conditioning and getting players properly fit also cost money,so obvious clubs have to look at this as well.I just assumed everyone could read between the lines. This does not only goes for Belhar, but all other aspiring clubs.
