After Saturdays Fish King 10’s wins over Young Peoples, Violets and Franschoek United, Vineyards rugby club can arguably claim to be the best club in the Paarl area. Paarl club playing in Premier A being knocked out early to Young Standards who went down to Franschoek by 25 points in the semi-final stresses this point even more.

Vineyards beat Young People 24-10, Violets 44-5 and Franschoek United 27-5 taking their trophy count to 10 in the display cabinet: The Gardens Sevens Champs -The Fish King 10 a Side Champs - Paarl region league and knock out champs and then to top it all off, the u/20’s won the plate final at the tens and u/16 ‘s hold the league trophy for 2010. Vineyards players were named players of the tournament in all these competitions adding 4 more to the cabinet with most tries and points accolades also going their way.
With a points difference of 200 after 3 wins in the league this year, Vineyards is set to defend its League title successfully. Only time will tell...
