RE:SLB Results 28/5/11
So the SLB is in full swing, with the results very tight. Things are certanly going to hot up in the coming weeks. Hope the rugby was as exciting as the scores suggest. At Rosmead it was more frustration for Primrose as they squanderd a few opportunities to put the game away allowing Belville to get a grip on the game. To the Roses credit they did come back to score 2 late tries and secure 2 bonus points, but will rue the missed opportunity for a victory.

RE:SLB Results 28/5/11
Wow, most games could have gone either way.
Great and important win for Tygerberg. They are definitely playing some excellent rugby, but close for NNK.
It seems like Primrose don't want to win. How many close ones have they lost now?
Kuils River going down to H&H at home is a bit of a shock, but I predicted that. I believe H&H is a good team who should win more games than they lose.
What do one say about Collegians. When we gave score on Radio on Saturday, they were up 27-11. My colleague was already celebrating. But when I received the final score the big man did not even want to stay for the Rangers breyani. He went home. That is how gutted he was.
Brackenfell surprised me to beat Young Peoples like that. Peoples is most definitely in trouble.
But I tip them to beat Collegians this week.

Indeed CF....some very tight games and it will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks or so. It was frustrating to watch Roses "butcher" an opportunity to win on Saturday once again. Took the lead at critical period only to hand it back to the opposition on a silver platter. The Bellville guys could not believe there luck with the two very soft tries they were given without much effort, not too mention the dodgy "offside" try.

Two things killing the Roses at the moment....no 1st choice kicker(Sat first time they had a more than 60% accuracy record) and then leaking in soft tries. Way too charitable at the moment. Bellville got there Xmas presents early this year...lol..I hope it ends there though. Primrose def on the up though and will give a lot of teams a hard time still. Hats off to both teams for contributing to spectacle of rugby and congrats to Bellville for taking there chances.

RE:SLB Results 28/5/11
We were up 20 - 7 halftime and H & H a man down with a red card.
How we lost it i still dont know. They came back making the game open and were leading 29 - 20. We scored to make it 29 - 27 with about 3 mins left. Game ended with us knocking the ball. Our lock was about to score. moet net raakvat en druk.

Weldone H & H great comeback with 14 men. Still maintain you got the best backline in SLB.

This week Brakke.....we need a win!!
2010 here we come!!!

What a game by Tygerberg winning NNK that game could give the league a interesting turn maybe just what the top five needs. As I heard it was a very close game and very close contested. Well done to Tygerberg hope u guys keep up your good tempo but for the rest of the teams lets put some pressure on the leaders think theres a couple of teams still in contention.

Bellville played a good game, their defence and ball handling was good aswel as ther speed and skills. Well done Bellville. Nice game Primrose.

Great day of rugby at Florida Park, tough games throughout
Well done tygers, made use of virtually all chances, no surprise that you are top of the log.  One thing... does Wagenstroom have to touch the ball in EVERY move?  Ja, hes powerful, but we wouldve been in the k*k had you played slightly wider!

Thank the almighty rugby gods... finally we can make our first appearance at home!  We welcome all SLB to Parow!

I suppose 5 out of 6 and 23 log points aint bad away from home!

And tygers... we cant wait for the return fixture...  Ahooo!
Long live loyalty

Down boy...why so aggro...did I touch a nerve there. Don't be so sensitive man. For your info I actually thought you would be far better than that, seriously. Either that are I am actually way too harsh on the Roses team, maybe they are better than what I make them out to be. I have actually seen and played against better Bellville(Tech) teams in the past. This is supposedly a team who before this game had one defeat as opposed to the Roses team who cannot even win at home.

That big no.5 you have in that team use to be a prop in the 2nd/3rds and to use your veteran at no.8 says a lot about your depth as well. In any case I was lamenting the two pasella tries that was given to you by a careless and sloppy team(Roses). One where your scrumhalf took a quick tap and then passed for the center to score with not a single player even noticing till it was too late. By the way the kicker had indicated that he was going to kick to poles already. The other try resulting from your scrummie putting his hand in the scrum and knocking the ball out of the No. 8's hands as he was grabbing it, only for your wing to collect and score unopposed. I didnt notice any special skill involved there other than your team maybe being a bit more "streetwise" I suppose. Anyway I congratulated them for using there opportunities and coming away with victory. It was nothing more and nothing less.

RE:SLB Results 28/5/11
we are looking forward to our 1st win on sat against collegians. Its been a rocky road but we getting somewhere. Terrible to lose 4games within 7points, but thats how the ball bounces. But we'll get there. And as for the game against the brakke, we played with 14men for 70min. The majority of there points came in the last 20min when our legs were feeling the man short.
