WP Rugby Statement on Rassie Erasmus

WP Rugby today confirmed that Senior Professional Coach Rassie Erasmus will be leaving at the end of January 2012.

Year ends well for WP Rugby with kids at HPC

It’s been a fantastic year for WP Rugby. The world of club rugby in particular saw an entirely fresh and exciting feel.

The publicity and resulting awareness resulted in many clubs, their fans and players getting the attention which was missing in the past.  We hope to take this to an entirely new level in 2012.

WPRFU Press Release: Hosting of Heineken Cup match between Saracens and Biarritz.

After a recent meeting by the Western Province Rugby Football Union Executive Committee, the request by SARACENS to host the match at Cape Town Stadium was considered. However, the Executive Committee decided that the home of rugby, Newlands, would stage this historic match. According to the South African Rugby Union Constitution the final decision regarding the match venue lies in the hands of the host union.
